Muhammadu Buhari served as the President of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023 has died at the age of 82 in London, United Kingdom. A retired Nigerian Army Major General, he was the Military Head of State of Nigeria from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985. The news was confirmed in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Garba Shehu, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Former President.
