Uganda Bureau of Statistics has revealed that unemployment remains a major challenge in the country. According to the 2025 Labour Market Survey Report, the unemployment rate stands at 12.2 percent among people aged 15 years and above, with youth unemployment highest at 18 percent among those aged 15 to 24. The findings were presented by UBOS Deputy Executive Director Vincent Fred Ssenono during the report’s dissemination. He also noted that nearly 90 percent of employed Ugandans lack formal contracts, leaving many workers vulnerable due to limited job security. #UBOS #UBOSReport #LabourMarketSurvey #UgandaBureauOfStatistics #Unemployment #YouthUnemployment #UgandaCatholicTelevision #uctvuganda #uctv #uctvupdates #uctvnewsupdates
