NIRA Suspends Parish-Level National ID Registration Exercise![]()

National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) has temporarily suspended mass registration and renewal of national identity cards at parish level across the country. According to Buikwe District Registrar Claire Ollama, issuance of new IDs will now be conducted strictly at sub-county headquarters, with the exercise pausing on the 14th and resuming on the 17th.
